Terms & Conditions

Effective date: August 26, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.lowcountrytc.com and any table, chair, or related rental services provided by Lowcountry Tables & Chairs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website, submitting a rental request, or accepting a confirmed rental, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or our services.

1. Who we are and what we offer

Lowcountry Tables & Chairs rents folding tables, folding chairs, and related event equipment for gatherings in and around Charleston, South Carolina. We may also offer local delivery, pickup, and optional setup, subject to availability, service-area limits, and confirmation.

This website lets you estimate pricing, check general availability, and submit a rental request. Website features are provided for convenience and may change without notice.

2. Requests are not reservations

Submitting a rental request does not reserve inventory, guarantee delivery, or create a binding rental until we expressly accept and confirm your booking (typically by email or other written confirmation). We may decline, modify, or propose alternatives for any request based on inventory, scheduling, service area, weather, access, or other operational reasons.

Quotes and totals shown on the website are estimates based on the information you enter and our then-current pricing rules. Final pricing for an accepted rental is the amount we confirm with you in writing, including any agreed delivery, pickup, setup, or other fees.

3. Eligibility and accurate information

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to request or accept a rental. You agree to provide accurate contact, event, address, and quantity information. You are responsible for ensuring someone authorized can receive delivery or complete pickup as arranged.

4. Service area, delivery, and pickup

  • Delivery is generally available within our normal Greater Charleston service area and is free when we confirm your location is in range. We may decline locations outside our service area or propose different arrangements.
  • You must provide a safe, accessible delivery location with reasonable vehicle access and a clear place to unload. Extra trips, wait time, stairs, difficult access, or incomplete site readiness may result in additional charges or cancellation of delivery at our discretion.
  • If you choose pickup, you are responsible for transporting equipment safely, securing it during transport, and returning it on time to the place and in the condition we specify.
  • Delivery and pickup windows are approximate. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, venue restrictions, inaccurate addresses, or events beyond our reasonable control.

5. Rental period and return of equipment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, equipment is rented for the confirmed event date and must be available for pickup or return at the time we arrange. Early drop-off or late pickup may be available when scheduled in advance and may affect pricing.

You must return all rented items clean, dry, and in substantially the same condition as delivered, reasonable wear excepted. Missing pieces, excessive dirt, standing water, mold risk, broken frames, stains that require special cleaning, or other damage may result in repair, cleaning, or replacement charges.

6. Customer responsibilities and safe use

During the rental period, you agree to:

  • Use equipment only for its ordinary intended purpose as folding tables and chairs for events
  • Follow basic safety practices (for example, do not overload tables, stand on chairs, or use damaged items)
  • Protect equipment from theft, vandalism, fire, flood, and severe weather when reasonably possible
  • Keep equipment on the confirmed premises unless we approve a move
  • Not modify, paint, drill, staple into, or permanently alter equipment
  • Comply with venue rules, HOA rules, permits, and applicable law

You are responsible for obtaining any venue approvals, parking permissions, or access instructions needed for delivery and pickup.

7. Loss, damage, and theft

From the time equipment is delivered to you (or picked up by you) until it is returned to our possession, you bear risk of loss for the equipment, except to the extent loss is caused solely by our negligence. If items are lost, stolen, destroyed, or damaged beyond ordinary wear, you agree to pay reasonable repair costs or replacement value, as applicable, plus any documented recovery costs.

Please inspect equipment at delivery or pickup and notify us promptly of any preexisting damage or shortage. If you do not report an issue within a reasonable time after receipt, the equipment will be deemed delivered in acceptable condition absent clear evidence otherwise.

8. Payment

This website does not process card payments. After we accept a rental, we will coordinate payment details directly. Accepted methods may include cash, check, or invoice, as we communicate to you. Payment is due according to the timing we confirm (which may be before delivery, on delivery, or as otherwise agreed).

Unpaid balances may result in cancellation of the rental, withholding of future service, and collection of amounts owed, including reasonable collection costs where permitted by law.

9. Cancellations, changes, and weather

  • Please contact us as soon as possible to change dates, quantities, or addresses. Changes are subject to availability and may change the price.
  • If you cancel an accepted rental, notify us in writing (email is fine). We may charge a reasonable cancellation fee based on timing, preparations already made, and whether we can rebook the inventory. Fees, if any, will be communicated when we confirm your booking or when you request cancellation.
  • Outdoor events involve weather risk. We are not responsible for rain, wind, heat, or other conditions that affect your event. If weather makes delivery or recovery unsafe, we may reschedule, delay, or cancel delivery or pickup and will work with you in good faith on alternatives. Prepaid amounts for services we cannot perform due to our cancellation for safety may be refunded or credited as we reasonably determine.
  • We may cancel or refuse service if the site is unsafe or inaccessible, information was materially inaccurate, payment is not arranged as agreed, or continuing would violate law or these Terms.

10. Optional setup

If you request and we accept setup services, we will place tables and chairs in a reasonable arrangement based on the information and access you provide. Setup does not include decorating, linens, tent installation, electrical work, or venue coordination unless we expressly agree in writing. You are responsible for final placement adjustments after we leave unless we agree otherwise.

11. Website use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to disrupt, scrape at abusive scale, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or related systems
  • Submit false requests, spam, or malware
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend or block access that we believe violates these Terms or threatens the security or integrity of the service. Admin and internal tools on this site are for authorized personnel only.

12. Intellectual property

The website content, branding, logos, product photography, and design are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or used commercially without permission, except for limited personal use to evaluate or request our services.

13. Reviews and feedback

If you submit a review or testimonial, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on our website and marketing materials, with or without your name as submitted. You agree not to submit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content. We may moderate or decline to publish reviews.

14. Disclaimers

The website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that estimated availability or pricing will always match final confirmed terms.

Equipment is provided for temporary event use. We do not warrant that rented items will meet unique venue, aesthetic, or capacity requirements beyond the ordinary use of standard folding tables and chairs.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina and applicable law, Lowcountry Tables & Chairs and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost events, or reputational harm, arising out of the website, a rental, delivery, pickup, setup, or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of a rental or these Terms will not exceed the amounts you actually paid us for the specific rental giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct where such limitation is prohibited.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lowcountry Tables & Chairs and its owners, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of rented equipment, your event or premises, your breach of these Terms, or injury to persons or property occurring during your possession of the equipment, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that exclusive venue for disputes arising out of these Terms or our services will be in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Before filing a formal claim, please contact us at hello@lowcountrytc.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Changes apply to website use after posting and to rentals accepted after the effective date. For an already-confirmed rental, the Terms in effect when we confirmed that rental continue to apply to that rental unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

20. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. These Terms, together with any written confirmation we send for a specific rental and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the website and rental services, and supersede prior conflicting discussions about those subjects. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
